Engineered Wood Promotion Specialist
LA / Southern California Area
The Engineered Wood Promotion Specialist develops and
maintains relationships with specifiers, code officials
and, engineering and architectural construction
professionals to educate and promote the use of wood
systems and engineered wood products. This includes the
transferring of new technology and design systems to the
construction community. Working out of their
home-office, this position travels throughout their
assigned region calling on engineers, builders, code
officials, architects and distributors to identify and
cultivate markets, conduct educational meetings and
seminars, participate in trade shows and promotional
programs and to develop constructive relationships with
major building inspection and code agencies.
-BS degree in Engineering, PE preferred.
-Ability to identify pertinent contacts and cultivate
relationships within the industry.
-Ability to make high impact presentations to key
decision makers, conduct or coordinate educational
seminars and participate in trade shows.
-Experience in sales or marketing, preferably within the
construction industry
-Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and
oral communication skills.
-Proven ability to take initiative, to set and meet
goals and to work independently.
-Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
-Ability to conduct market research.
-A good driving record.

part-time Structural Designer or Project Engineer with 1
to 7 years experience. Responsibilities include
